Got a question about Internet privacy but never knew who to ask? Then this edition of the ONLINE Privacy Salon is for you. Our knowledgeable panel will be on hand to answer your queries.

We’ll do an update about the Coronavirus situation and then move on to your questions.

No prior technical expertise or knowledge is assumed, so ask away about anything – there are no “stupid” questions (hopefully we are not too stupid to answer them, though 😉 ).

You can send questions in advance via twitter, email to info @  privacysalon dot lu or just ask them at the event. You may remain anonymous in all cases (anon twitter account or email address, random name at the event)

Digital Privacy Salon & syn2cat Present: Cybersecurity Week Special: Security Games Kids Edition 19/10/19

Security Games?


Privacy Salon will be participating in Cybersecurity Week Luxembourg by holding a special edition where we will be playing some security games for kids. Fun, practical and hands on, we’ll be exploring face paints to block facial recognition algorithms, making  phone cases which block all signals, play special board games, create safe passwords with dice, find out how encryption keys work etc.

This event is a collaboration between Privacy Salon and syn2cat.

Free, aimed at those 8 & above but younger kids are welcome and will have things to do.

We can’t assume  responsibility for your kids, so parents/older siblings/ responsible person will need to be there too.

Cybersecurity Week Luxembourg is an advocacy-campaign week, which aims to raise awareness of cybersecurity threats, promote cybersecurity among citizens, corporate and SMEs, and provide up-to-date security information through education and sharing best practices.

 

Security Games?


Privacy Salon will be participating in Cybersecurity Week Luxembourg by holding a special edition where we will be playing some security games. These games are aimed at making the players think about and become more aware of “security ” issues in their daily and work lives. Think puzzles, party  and observation games rather than technical protocols etc.

Come with friends as a team, join a team on the evening or play on your own. For introverts/extroverts and anywhere in-between…

Next Digital Privacy Salon 04/09/19: Europeans’ attitudes towards Internet security

In this edition of the Privacy Salon we will look at attitudes towards Internet Security of the participants, based on the recently released Eurobarometer of the European Commission.

We will ask the same questions in the report to participants of the Salon, compare the results to those from Luxembourg and the EU and look at ways to deal with the concerns raised.
